1. GBSUP National Race Series
The GBSUP National Series is a premier stand up paddleboarding (SUP) racing event that has been bringing together paddlers from all over the country for years, providing a platform for them to showcase their skills, push their limits and challenge themselves. This series of races takes place at various venues across the UK, from the southern tip of Cornwall to the northeastern coast, and offers something for every paddler, whatever their racing ability.
The series culminates in the crowning of National Series Champions in three different categories: Flatwater Distance, Ocean Tech, and the British National Championships. A must-attend event for any serious SUP racer.
The event features a wide range of competitions and races for all skill levels, including sprints, long distance, and technical races. 2. Great Glen PADDLE CHALLENGE
The Great Glen Paddle Challenge is the ultimate test of strength, endurance and determination, and takes place this September in Scotland. It will not only challenge you physically, but also immerse you in the stunning Scottish scenery and culture.
The event features a race covering the 92km length of the Great Glen with an option to cover the distance in one day, or two.
3. PADDLE SKEDDADLE
The Paddle Skedaddle is an unforgettable experience that combines the thrill of a race with the breathtaking beauty of the Norfolk Broads. the only event of its kind on the Norfolk Broads and is a must-do for anyone taking part in the bigger Norfolk Broads Ultra later in the year. The route starts at Sutton Staithe Hotel and takes participants on a journey through the peaceful backwaters of the River Ant, the expansive Barton Broad, the picturesque village of Irstead, and past historic landmarks such as St Benets Abby and Thurne Mill.
4. SUPFest
Immerse yourself in a weekend of fun, adventure, and camaraderie as you explore the stunning scenery of the Lake District in Cumbria. From the 26th to 29th of May, gather your family and friends and head to Dry Beck Farm in Armathwaite for SUPFest 2023. With live music, adventure presentations, and a variety of races, games, and competitions, there's something for everyone.
Not only will you have the opportunity to meet new people and make lasting memories, but you'll also get to relax in one of the most beautiful environments the UK has to offer. Plus, with your ticket price including 3 nights of camping, caravan or camper pitch and all evening entertainment, all you have to worry about is having fun.
And even if you don't win one of the competitions, you'll still be in the running for some amazing prizes. The festival also offers on-site catering with a range of tasty options including vegetarian and vegan options. 5. WSA SUP Symposium
Treat yourself to a hugely enjoyable end-of-summer SUP experience at the Water Skills Academy's annual SUP Symposium. Now in its sixth year, this weekend event takes place on the 14th & 15th October and boasts an array of skills workshops, one and two-day course, guest speakers and networking socials. Hosted at Cardiff International White Water (CIWW), you are guaranteed to receive a warm welcome by the WSA community. Whether you're looking to improve your skills, discover the latest in equipment and safety, connect with industry professionals, or gain new inspiration for making stand-up paddleboarding a hobby or career, this symposium offers something for everyone. 6. White Water SUPFest
Promising to be bigger and better than ever before, the White Water SUPFest 2023 is back on the 5th & 6th August for its eighth year. Featuring the notorious SUPX White Water race on Saturday 5th August, followed by the highly-anticipated King of the Wave competition. As the sun sets, get ready to rock out with the awesome band Alpha Chino and enjoy Saturday evening's live entertainment. On Sunday, there is a lineup of workshops tailored for all experience levels, led by SUP experts from across the country.
The daytime activities will take place at Mile End Mill, the White Water Centre in Llangollen, while the evening activities will be held at the Basecamp campsite in Glyndyfrdwy.
