Chris has been a lifelong surfer and decided to launch Harlyn Surf School in 1994 to make his passion his career. His surf school is based in Cornwall and now offers coasteering, sit on top kayaking and stand up paddleboarding as well as a hire centre. Chris has also been training lifeguards and surf instructors since 2000 and has formally trained lots of prominent surf school owners and more recently SUP school owners throughout the UK and Europe. Chris discovered SUP in 2007 and set up one of the first SUP schools in the UK. He has a love for SUP surfing, downwinding and adventuring and has been a SUP trainer since 2014 and has been fortunate enough to travel all over the world surfing and paddling.

Chris was instrumental in designing surf/SUP school licensing schemes working with councils and licensing authorities. His operational experience and knowledge is invaluable in these areas and he is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience to help others.
